Tyrone competitors enjoy success at Balmoral Show 2021

Judge Raymond Irvine and Gareth Roberts, chairman of The British Charolais Cattle
Society, congratulate Caoimhe McGovern, handler of Ratoary Rambler, owned and bred
by Sean McGovern, Clogher, winners of Class 563 Bull, born on or after April 1, 2020 during Balmoral Show.
Balmoral Show returned last week after a two-year absence and Tyrone competitors were once again to the fore at the hugely popular event.
Traditionally the highlight of the North’s agricultural calendar, the four-day farming extravaganza had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But, much to the delight of farming families across Tyrone and beyond, visitors were welcomed back to Balmoral Park in Lisburn last week by organisers, the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS). And, as in previous years, there was plenty of success for local competitors in a wide variety of events taking place over the four days.
Meanwhile, in a sign of the times, a mobile Covid-19 vaccination clinic offering walk-in first dose jabs was located on-site for the duration of the show. Those vaccinated with a first dose at Balmoral will be qable to receive their second dose via a community pharmacy
